Using the Orfeo Toolbox and the Monteverdi graphical user interface

The GEP v2 offers the online access to a Cloud appliance that provides the Orfeo Toolbox (OTB), together with its associated graphical application Monteverdi.

Orfeo ToolBox (OTB) is an open-source C++ library for remote sensing images processing initiated and funded by CNES (French space agency) in the frame of a program named ORFEO, to prepare, accompany and promote the use and the exploitation of the images derived from Pléiades satellites (PHR).

The Orfeo ToolBox aims at enabling state-of-the-art processing of large image files, and is shipped with a set of extensible ready-to-use tools for classical remote sensing tasks, as well as a fully integrated, end-user oriented software, called “Monteverdi”.

The Orfeo Toolbox/Monteverdi Cloud appliance can be started by authorized GEP users having a linked account on Terradue Cloud Platform, by accessing their Cloud Dashboard interface.
It provides a virtual desktop connection to a powerful Linux machine, where OTB and Monteverdi are installed and configured.

GEP welcomes new partnerships to collaborate on value-adding services.
