EARSC Exploitation platforms: current use and needs survey

The European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC) provides information through reports and position papers. They conduct regular surveys of the industry and perform analysis linked to the value of Earth Observation.

In a new survey they are asking users to provide information about Exploitation platforms that they are using to access data (stored in or linked to), process and store their research. They aim to identify how users are using the platforms, the needs they fulfill and possible possible barriers identified.

As a GEP user we are asking your support to fill in this EARSC survey and share your experience in the use of cloud solutions to store, process or provide access to EO data (e.g. the ESA DIASs, TEPs, EC funded platforms, etc.). This is an opportunity to say if exploitation platforms offers are aligned with your initial expectations and to share your needs in performing big data satellite analysis (e.g. if you plan to use GPU for processing).

Your feedback is extremely valuable to assess current limitations and to better tackle developments for future offer of earth observation data via cloud computing.
